Privacy Policy

Effective date: 01/01/2025

This Privacy Policy explains how My Injury Settlement (“My Injury Settlement,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit MyInjurySettlement.com and any page that links to this Policy (the “Site”), fill out our forms, speak with our team, or interact with us by phone, text, or email. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. If you are connected with an intake service or law firm, any relationship you form is between you and that firm.

1) What we collect

We collect information in three main ways: you give it to us, we collect it automatically, and we receive it from others.

Information you provide

  • Contact details such as name, phone number, email, city, state, and ZIP code
  • Accident details such as accident date, location, description of events, injuries, and treatment
  • Any content you submit to us such as messages or call recordings when you speak to our team

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URL, pages visited, and time on page
  • Cookie and pixel data used for analytics, security, and advertising including remarketing

Information from third parties

  • Advertising, analytics, and anti-fraud partners
  • Intake partners or law firms who update us on the status of a referral

Some states consider IP address, cookie identifiers, and similar data to be personal information.

2) How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Review your inquiry and connect you with an intake partner or law firm when you ask us to do so
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services
  • Record calls for quality, training, and compliance
  • Provide customer service and respond to requests
  • Send service messages and, with your consent where required, marketing communications
  • Measure and improve advertising including remarketing
  • Comply with laws, enforce our terms, and prevent fraud or misuse

3) How we share information

We share information as described below. When we work with a third party service provider we disclose only what is needed for that purpose.

With your direction

  • When you ask us to connect you with an intake partner or a law firm, we share your inquiry and related details so they can evaluate your matter and contact you

Service providers

  • Hosting, analytics, advertising, call recording, customer support, security, and other vendors that help us run the Site and our operations

Advertising and analytics partners

  • For measurement, optimization, and remarketing. You can control many of these cookies and pixels as described in “Your choices”

Affiliates and business transfers

  • With our affiliates under common ownership
  • If we sell or transfer all or part of our business

Legal and safety

  • To comply with law, legal process, or valid requests from authorities
  • To protect rights, privacy, safety, or property of you, us, or others

After we transfer your information to an intake partner or law firm at your request, that party’s privacy policy and practices apply to their use of your information.

4) Calls, texts, and recordings

If you call us, we will tell you if the call is recorded. We record calls for quality, training, and compliance. If you provide a mobile number, you agree that we and our partners may contact you by call or text, including by automated means where permitted. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. You may still receive service messages needed to process your request.

5) Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools to make the Site work, keep it secure, measure performance, and deliver relevant ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. You can also visit industry opt-out pages such as:

  • Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
  • Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
  • Your browser’s or device’s advertising settings

If you block cookies, parts of the Site may not function properly.

6) “Sale” or “sharing” of data for targeted advertising

Some state laws define “sale” or “sharing” to include common advertising and analytics practices. We may engage in activities that these laws consider a “sale” or “sharing.” You can opt out of targeted advertising by using the cookie controls above and by emailing us at privacy@myinjurysettlement.com with the subject line “Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising.”

We do not knowingly sell the personal information of individuals we know are under 16.

  • Correction of inaccurate information
